Youth in Government

As part of the Youth in Government Program, high school students who live in Saratoga spend 2 weeks during the summer to learn about local government, meet their elected representatives, and gain hands-on experience in City government. Participants also earn internship/service credits.

  • All class sessions held during summer 2020 are virtual
  • A mix of classroom-style instruction, panel discussions, and individual and team assignments/presentations
  • Learn about your City and local government
  • Meet your City Council
  • Explore careers in government
  • Earn 25 hours of internship/service credit
  • To receive internship/service hours and certificate of completion, participants must attend all scheduled sessions
  • Program cost: $50
  • Internet access and computer with camera/microphone is required
