The City of Saratoga Community Garden is located within El Quito Park at 12855 Paseo Presada. The garden features 17 plots of varying sizes that can be leased by Saratoga residents.
Plots are leased annually (January 1 through December 31) and may be renewed. Gardeners are responsible for the plot rent and water costs.
Garden members are expected to keep their plots productive and attractive at all times and are expected to actively maintain their plot in a manner acceptable to the community garden program standards.
- All plots must be kept free of debris and weeds.
- Gardeners are responsible for assuring that the common areas and paths surrounding their plots remain clear at all times.
- Large piles of clippings, garden waste, etc. are to be removed immediately and are not to be left outside the gate.
- The gardener must show evidence of actively gardening, digging, sowing, planting, weeding, pruning, watering, harvesting, etc. once a week during the growing season.
Due to the popularity of the garden plots, the City maintains a waitlist for interested gardeners.
