Holiday Closures

Saratoga City Hall is closed for the holidays and will reopen on Tuesday, January 4. Other local organizations’ calendars are included below:  

  • Saratoga Senior Center: No virtual classes from December 18 through January 3. In person and virtual classes will resume on January 4. RYDE will be closed December 24 & 31 and January 1.
  • Joan Pisani Community Center: Closed December 17 through January 3. Will reopen on January 4.
  • Saratoga Library: Closed December 24, 25 & 31 and January 1.
  • West Valley Collection & Recycling: During the weeks of December 20 and December 27, collection will be one day later than usually scheduled. To learn more, call 408.283.9250.  

Residents can report fallen trees, landslides, and flooding on roads and public property by calling County Communications at 408.299.2507. For more information on winter storm resources, visit www.saratoga.ca.us/storms

Housing Element Meeting: January 10, 2022

To comply with the state-required Housing Element Update, the City Council is now deciding where future housing could be built. Please visit www.saratoga.ca.us/housing to review tentative housing opportunity sites, along with housing policies and programs, then provide your input to the City Council. Impacts of allowing housing to be built at these locations, including traffic, will be studied in an Environmental Impact Report. 

The City Council will hold a Special Meeting on January 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. to review these tentative opportunity sites and discuss housing policies.

Make an Impact in Saratoga

Be a part of the process! The City of Saratoga needs knowledgeable and talented residents to advise the City Council on a wide range of subjects that impact the community. 
 
The City is currently seeking volunteers to serve on the following Commissions:  

  • Parks & Recreation Commission: 2 full terms
  • Traffic Safety Commission: 2 full terms and one partial term
  • Planning Commission: 2 full terms

Volunteer at Quarry Park

The Parks and Recreation Commission's Let's Work Program helps beautify and maintain the trails at Quarry Park. The volunteer group meets the second Saturday from November through April, weather permitting. The next meetup will be held this Saturday, January 8 from 9 a.m. to noon. Please visit www.saratoga.ca.us/volunteer to submit a Let's Work Volunteer Interest Form by the Wednesday before a Let's Work Event on Saturday. Confirmed volunteers should meet in the Quarry Park parking lot and bring gloves, water, and sunscreen. Please wear closed-toed shoes and long sleeves.
