Arbor Day Celebration on April 27
This year marks the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day in the United States and the City of Saratoga’s 15th year as a Tree City USA, a recognition awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation to communities that demonstrated a commitment to urban forestry. Join the City in celebrating Arbor Day on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. in Kevin Moran Park at 12415 Scully Avenue. Enjoy refreshments, resources, and a tree planting ceremony then take home your own oak tree to plant at home.
You can also participate by submitting your Arbor Day inspired artwork as part of the City’s ARTbor Day contest. Submit your art inspired by Saratoga’s trees or Arbor Day by April 20 for the chance to win a prize. Three participants will be selected at random to win prizes. Winners will receive their prizes at the City of Saratoga Arbor Day Celebration on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. in Kevin Moran Park.
