City Council Reorganization

You're invited to attend the City Council Reorganization on Tuesday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. During the Reorganization, the City Council and community will have the opportunity to thank outgoing City Council Members and recognize this year's Mayor and Vice Mayor. Newly and re-elected Council Members will be sworn into office, and the Council will then select a new Mayor and Vice Mayor.

Celebration of Light Rescheduled

Due to the strong wind and heavy rain in the forecast this weekend, the Celebration of Light has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. in Blaney Plaza. Join the Saratoga Ministerial Association and the City to build community and celebrate the diversity of Saratoga with light—a symbol of hope, joy, and faith across cultures. 

Prepare for Weekend Storm

Heavy rain and wind are expected throughout the weekend. These conditions may cause power outages, fallen trees, flooding, or landslides. Call the following numbers to report hazards on roads and public property:

  • Emergencies: 9-1-1
  • Weekdays from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM: 408.868.1245
  • Weeknights after 3:30 PM and Weekends: 408.299.2507

If you encounter a downed power line, always assume it is live. Do not touch the power line or anything it touches, and do not drive over it. Leave the area immediately and report downed power lines to 9-1-1 and PG&E at 1.800.743.5002

If you need sandbags, a free 24-hour station is available outside of the City’s Corporation Yard at 19700 Allendale Avenue. Bags, sand, sandbag fillers, and shovels are available. There is a 25-bag limit per household.

Community Caroling Event Rescheduled

Saratoga Federated Church will host a free, family-friendly caroling event on Saturday, December 17 at 6:00 p.m. in their parking lot, 20390 Park Place. Enjoy live music, cocoa, snow, and lights!

Apply to Serve on a City Commission

The City is looking for Saratoga residents to serve on the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Traffic Safety Commission.
