  1. Heritage Preservation Commission Recruitment

    The City is now recruiting for the following position(s) for the Heritage Preservation Commission. Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk by Friday, November 19, 2021

    Vacancies

    • One (1) full term, ending December 31, 2025

     Qualifications

    • Must be a resident in the City of Saratoga
    • Must attend at least one Commission meeting prior to the interview with the City Council
    • Must be nominated by Saratoga Historical Foundation
    • Must submit a completed application form and supplemental questionnaire prior to the application deadline

    Interviews

    Following the application deadline, qualified applicants will be invited to interview with the City Council on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in the late afternoon/evening. Please note that interviews are recorded.

    Applicants will receive confirmation of their interview time by November 22, 2021. Please contact City Clerk Britt Avrit at bavrit@saratoga.ca.us or 408.868.1294 if you do not receive information about your interview time.

    About the Commission

    The Heritage Preservation Commission advises the City Council on the City’s Heritage Preservation Ordinance and on establishing an official inventory of heritage resources.     Commission members are subject to Conflict of Interest provisions by State law and Commissioners must file the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests within 30 days of taking the Oath of Office. The City Clerk will provide the link to file.
